A rare ceramic shishigashira (lion head) container, originally used for holding sake. The label on the back reads "Seishu Ikkū, Nagano Prefecture Saku-gun Yachiho-mura, 1.8L, Kurozawa Shuzo Co., Ltd." This vintage item was crafted in Showa 40 (1965) and was designed to serve as both a sake container and a decorative piece once the sake was consumed.
