This exquisite Japanese bronze mirror from the late Edo to early Meiji period features a finely cast design depicting cranes and a tortoise, symbols traditionally associated with longevity and good fortune in Japanese culture. The mirror's surface showcases detailed relief work, highlighting the graceful interaction between the cranes and the minogame, a mythical turtle with a long tail, often representing endurance and longevity.

Accompanied by its original wooden box, the mirror measures approximately 20 cm in diameter. The wooden storage box shows signs of wear consistent with its age, including areas of paint loss, adding to its antique character.

This piece exemplifies the artistry and symbolism prevalent in Edo-period metalwork, making it a valuable addition for collectors and enthusiasts of Japanese antiques.
