This is an original hand-drawn ink sketch (nikuhitsu) on tsunagi hanshi paper, created as a preparatory drawing for a ceiling painting (tenjō-e) in the late Edo period. The artwork depicts Jurōjin, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, and features inscriptions specifying color details in white and purple. The reverse side bears the inscriptions "Ten 71" and "Jurōjin no Zu," though the artist remains unknown.
The piece measures approximately 85 × 39 cm. It has creases, folds, and minor tears due to age but remains a remarkable example of Edo-period religious and decorative art.
