This is an original hand-drawn ink sketch (nikuhitsu) on tsunagi hanshi paper, created as a preparatory drawing for a ceiling painting (tenjō-e) in the late Edo period. The work is titled "Three Stars" (Sansei no Zu) and bears an inscription referencing Toyohiko Sensei, likely Okamoto Toyohiko (1773–1845), a noted painter of the late Edo period. The reverse side is marked with "Ten 49" and a signature.

The piece measures approximately 60.5 × 39 cm when unfolded and 20 × 16 cm when folded. It has creases, folds, and minor tears due to age but remains a significant example of Edo-period artistic tradition.
